Good one. LOL. God let them crucify his 'son' to get street cred. That's as good as washing away my sins.

Thank you GuitarWizard. They like actual proof and you are willing to do their homework for them although they do not believe the Bible so it is futile to try to clean up some of the unwashed here.

So, basically, god pulled a publicity stunt, or was it more of a 9/11 kinda thing? Now that's what I call an effective marketing campaign.

If God is not manipulating his creation, then why bring Jesus into the picture at all?

I wouldn't let anyone crucify my son so I could get street cred. That's whacko whacko whacko....

And this whole washing away of sins... god must have f*cked up the original plan, so then he had to come back and fix it, by killing himself for us, in a sort of suicide by cop thing. This whole martyr thing is overblown, but ultimately we love Jesus for the same reason we love James Dean. They died before their time...And we preserved their memory in a sort of idyllic state. Forever young rebels without a cause.

Where exactly does it say that, Sparky?

Always so bitter Mentor. Spit and vinegar with you. It showed how much God loved man that he would give his only son so that his other 'children' might live. But his son had to be obedient "even unto death" to save mankind.

Comparing Jesus to James Dean is just pathetic. Dean could not save us. Jesus had the cause of saving mankind. Dean was just an entertainer.
