Jesus vs God

Can you believe in the existance of one, but not the other?

I do.

I have come to believe that Jesus did exist. He was a very powerful orator, and a great teacher. His history is written in the Bible.

He was crucified and died for being a heretic and believing in monotheism (One God).

The movie Passion of the Christ is an accurate portrayal of what happend. I believe everything up to but not including the resurrection.

There the story ends. There was nothing after.

The story of Genesis is a fraud and is a complete fabrication, and nobody appeared to Moses in the "Burning Bush".

The Bible is not the "Word of God". It was written by man... enough said.

Another super slick attempt to deny the existence of God. Satan would be proud of this conceit.

According to your fiction Jesus would be just another great philosophy in the vein of Ghandi or Buddha. Yet he eclipses these guys by light years in terms of influence. Morever, Jesus answers more questions (why we die, hope for future life, proof of God, reason for the Big Bang, etc).

So you use this tool to eliminate creationism by making Jesus just a man, which also then eliminates God. No cigar Monica.

I doubt the Romans crucified him over the issue of monotheism, rather that he had the potential of being a political threat to Roman power. This is because the Romans really don't care what god or gods you pray to in your heart of hearts so long as you kick in the required bit toward Jupiter. The Hebrew were given exception in this as a condition of agreeing to be a protectorate of Rome in 27 B.C., but in trade they had to let the Roman senate be included in deciding who becomes one of the Hebrew priests.

Comforting answers, perhaps. Pat answers, certainly. But correct answers? You have no way of knowing that, Sparky.

BTW, What exactly did Jesus say about the Big Bang theory? In a book that promoted the geocentric notion of the universe, that is? You know, a book that has plants existing before the sun was made...

Jesus said Mary Magdalene was the big bang. I don't see any answers Jesus had. If he existed he had lots of opinions but no answers.
What was his proof of god? That he got crucified?
That would seem to prove the opposite.

Well the Romans did not make the decision to crucify Jesus. They did perform the action that the pharisees and the crowd called for. Regardless, just as assuredly as I will be persecuted here Jesus was bound to be killed. And it is what he came to earth for anyway. Yet his actions were perfect in the sight of God.

Well maybe you choose to misread his book that way. Yet even so God would have the power to shield the plants until a Sun was created to sustain them.

It is in the Bible. Clearly described how God assigned Jesus to construct everything.

He eclipses these guys by light years? Yeah...um...I can see why you promote nuclear energy. I guess it makes sense when you're clueless.

Jesus was crucified by the powers at be because God gave them the authority to do so "God" crucified Jesus to forfill the prophecy.

St. John 6:40

And this is the will of him that sent me,that every one which seeth the Son,and believeth on him ,may have everlasting life :and I will raise him up at the last day.

Praise God.
