fascinating show on the History Channel last night (well, technically early this morning). Covered lots of things from the very beginnings of cosmology on. During the last quarter of hour 1, they discussed Einstein's contributions to our understanding of the universe.

Guess what they had to say about gravity?

I watched this last night. But odly, I had recorded it earlier! Great series. I still say it's gravity outside our observable universe causing the acceleration.

I hope that God created it just as he did the Big Bang (Instant) and the other forces and all physics.

"God did it." "And God is sustaining it." Only scientific and logical explanation.

But what about guitar string theory. Do you need to use bullet strings for a Strat, or will standard steel strings do?

This is the standard view today. I'm still kind of a steady stater. I think the forces have always been separate, but linked, just as they are today. Of course I agree that the big bang happened. But I think it's explanation will suprise us all when we finally start to understand it. I believe the big bang to be a localized event in a far larger, perhaps infinite, universe.

You should agree with me Eman, because a steady state universe is the only model which can accomidate God.

Standard steel strings will do. I am a traditionalist. Aim the camera and leave it still baby. None of this new MTV cut cut cut bullshit.

But God is OUTSIDE of the universe, whatever it is and regardless of its nature. Think another dimension. Heaven has to be.

But JC said heaven is here. I don't think we need to postulate another dimension. I find the big four sufficient. Also, I think many would disagree that God is outside of nature. Spinosa sees the universe as Gods physical body... a magnificent body, wouldn't you agree?

Tech question? lubrication of strings at the bridge??? Good advice on the camera...tripod is my name-oh...
