Christmas and Winter Solstice were NEVER celebrated on the same day. In fact the entire passion play is a rip from the Winter Solstice celebrations which culminates in the 25th as being the (re)birth of the Sun (Son). Remember, the Son (sun) lay in the grave for 3 days before rising again to save the world. At Winter Solstice, the sun is at it's lowest point in the sky where it languishes for 3 days (is if it were in a grave) before it rises to bring life back to our big blue marble.
All Abrahemtic religions are based on astral religions.

Thank God for Gurn. He knows every damn detail of everything religion. Ultimately Deists DO believe that God existes. And that is a very good thing.

Of course I believe there is a God. I just don't buy any of the dogma as the true Nature of God. I think everyone has to make the journey for themselves and quit leaving that part up to your Pastors and Priests to make for you. Quit letting others do your studying. Quit laying your allegiances with men. Trust that God talks to you directly. Endeavor to study him in all things and exhalt him by using that "spirit" to aide others and help your fellow man.
And to be real clear...fuck Peter and fuck Paul. Get to know God on your own.

btw: Religion is not about policing other's moralities. It's about refining your conscience. The only Christian commandment that should ever be uttered is "Be a mercy unto your fellow man."

Very well said as always & I Agree as well..... What is today defined as the "nature of God"..... "The Godhead"- "Trinity" etc are ideas & concepts formulated a long time ago by men that could not conceptualize their own makeup much less the makeup of someone they believed capable of creating the universe............

An acceptance (not necessarily an understanding) of the Trinity doctrine is essential per them...... Most ppl I talk to about the Trinity (Been a while.lol) don't know what I am talking about & often deny that "Jesus is God" or the nature of the "triune God"...............



I believe that the Holiday of Christmas can survive w/out Christ... It can not perhaps survive w/out all the commerce..... Which I believe was the initial intent.......

You people always say this like we simply follow some TV healer preacher like ignorant fools. To perpetuate this is to promote a misrepresentation, particularly to people like me. I have clearly conducted my own research and come up with my own conclusions. Many here would have to admit that I have presented a uniquely person view that combines many 'pro' aspects Christianity. Please do not apply this sheep label to people like me.
