Seriously though, look at the "hero's journey" throughout myth and legend. Many times you will find the father being redeemed by the son. The "sins of the father" so to speak. Hell, the Bible talks about the sins of the father being passed onto the son, too. Maybe God, being outside of humanity, realized the "error of His/Her/It's ways" and sent Jesus to redeem both the world and God Him/Her/Itself?

Notice the question mark at the end of my paragraph? It's there because how can any of us know? I know the Gnostics of old were killed for, among other reasons, believing the New Testament God was the Old Testament Satan. Maybe they were onto something, maybe they weren't.

I'll agree that a lot of men have hijacked the Bible to keep men in power, but that doesn't mean all men do so.

I guess it's apparent that you have your ideas and I have mine. I am flexible when it comes to religion and science, I think they both should work together. Apparently you think that means I believe the earth is flat...

You won't hear me say that the Bible is fact or fiction, but you seem to act like eman on the other end of the spectrum. You know the Bible is bullshit. You know religion is false. Sorry, but I don't feel like wasting my time talking to another absolutist.
