"Seeds" for thought - metaphore

Discussing the things that are

outside of religion is

really fun

and more polite.

I like to type about things like thumbs.

Thumbs do not care if you are living or dead.

Thumbs do not care if you understand them.

Thumbs do not care what religion you are nor
how much money you have
nor what gender you prefer - personal or shared
...
nor do the clouds
nor the layers of the Grand Canyon.

They all just are.

With or without humans or understanding,
there they are.

I do not ask anyone to give up any religion.

I ask that they get staright "A"'s in math and
tell me every layer of the Grand Canyon and
that we disscuss things that have nothing to do with religion
like plumbing, food, cleaning water, educating the poor
and managing garbage.

If the aliens land and I have to show them around,

how shall I explain religion?

Shall I say that there are no religions on
the moon or Mars but that there are many religions on Earth?

How much will you embarrass me with your,
" ...we're the only correct ones..."
when the next person says the same thing?

How will I explain "thou shalt not kill" while
you go to war and kill animals and plants for your sustainance?

What do you say about human ability to those that may be guests?

I offer this:
to keep religion utterly private unless you can
explain every single layer in the Grand Canyon
and
speak of only things that are outside of all religions
for just one year as a test.

Religion has such a bad record that it is worth a try.

One year is all that I ask.

( A meme is a thought that spreads among human thought like a virus )

When the aliens show up, there will be a bright light in the sky, just as it was when Jesus was born.

It is then, that we will realize that we are just ants, in a farm, for the amusement of these aliens.

Can you feel them watching?

I rememeber you mentioning thumb like appendages, in a long gone thread.

It's good to see you again

They are NOT 'just are.' That implies that they just happened by chance and nothing could be further from the truth. Thumbs were created by God. Give credit where it is due. And you seem to have a hang up about the layers of the Grand Canyon. Could have been carved out very quickly by the receding waters of the Great Flood or God could have simply carved it out in a thought the way he did the mountains. A tree created by God 30 seconds ago with 30 rings will appear to be different ages by different observers (see Einstein).

Yes you are. You are simply being sly about it.

See explanation above on Grand Canyon and the only way to get straight "A"s in math is to include God in your equations.

Physics speaks against aliens ever visiting earth because of the vast distances. They would have to be immortal beings even if they could travel at the speed of light. And if they can travel at the speed of light then they could not be solid material beings. They would have to be some sort of energy or spirit. Sounds like angels to me.

See? You reveal yourself here whereas earlier you said, "I do not ask anyone to give up any religion." So which is it? Dont confuse your aliens by contradicting yourself so quickly. They might quickly see you as a hypocrite. Eman alread explained your obsession with the Grand Canyon layers.

I do not ask anyone to give up any religion Religion has such a bad record that it is worth a try.

God does not have a bad record. Actions by man representing religions have established a bad record for religion but that is not God's fault. We turned from God and the respect and conformance to his recommended practices. So one should expect a bad record. Satan appears to be up in the polls among Man right now. But tell your aliens that it will not last. For the same God that created them created us.

LOL, no flood quickly carved out the Grand Canyon, it took several million years of erosion.

Or aliens from planet 2494352LR5 might have dug it with their own version of the illudium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator, it's just as good of an explanation. The mountains, BTW, are still "happening".

LOL, Einstein said no such thing, that has nothing to do with General Relativity, stop soiling his science with your ridiculous nonsense.

BUT a flood as described in the OT that would cover the highest mountain would be quite a huge volume of water. You will admit that such waters receding COULD carve out such a wonder.

I did not say Einstein said it. I said it. But it IS Relativity Theory.

I can't believe your new avatar! Did Eman respond to it at all? I must admit, I found it funny.

Uhhh no it couldn't have, it took millions of years as the Colorado basin slowly lifted and the Colorado River carved it's way down. No flash flood comes even remotely close to that kind of erosion of bedrock. And of course there was no global flood covering high mountains either, only raving lunatics think that is a possibility.

No it is no Relativity Theory, not in the least. Relativity Theory is the perception of view from two observers situated in different locations in space time.

What you are talking about is the difference between a sane person understanding seasonal growth rings and a psychotic wacko thinking that the world began 30 seconds ago.
