Many offsets use some sort of activity conversion anyway, ie. flying 1000 miles in jet X.

I think the question is resolved in the story of Lilith. Adam's first wife, the one that was truly an equal, created from the same dust as Adam, hence equal to him. She wanted to do her own thing, so God gave Adam Eve, made from a rib of Adam to be dependant and subservient to him. Lilith wouldn't have bought into the apple crap. see and you thought you knew.
