It will happen if I read the book. It seems like everything I pick up or re-read comes out as a major motion picture. I'm not paranoid, there really are people out to get me! I'm re-reading the Odyssey now. That will make a good new movie with today's special effects

I think you are right. I cant imagine how they would improve on Gort but I sure he would be awesome. We need Gort in Iraq. But an IED might mess Gort up too. What do you think?

Environment Man

Forbidden Planet was one of the best ever and although some of the monster imagery is cheesy, it still stands up well to this day. They should remake this too.
