I dont think its important to question what constitutes scientology to be a religion, as it is to question what constitutes any religion of being worthwhile.

I question all ideologies that use mind control.

Yeah, but I have never had any christian leader or follower come after me and threaten to destroy my life, because I don't go to church anymore.

Those are the things I hear about Scientology.

That it became a religion just shows you what kinda 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' culture we live in. Like a drug, Cruise has now gotten so involved in this 'religion' that it's hindered his functionality.
As to his acting ability, if you look at the entire body of his work I don't know how you could say he's anything but a very good actor. He seems to be having trouble making the transition to middle aged actor, and I blame it on his increasing mental issues manifested in his being the poster boy of scientology. Most great actors are mentally tormented in some way or another.
Sorry, didn't mean to upset you.

Maybe the fact that I don't like the man, clouds my judgement of his acting abilities.

But in all his films, I never forget that he's Tom Cruise, instead of the character he's portraying.

Example: Billy Bob Thornton in "Slingblade." I forgot all about Billy Bob, because he BECAME Carl Childress. That's all I saw, for the whole film.

Now THAT is good acting.

I only used this as an example to make my point.

Exactly! There little fundamental difference between Scientology, LDS, and the Big Three. The major difference is just age.

Considering I used to work with 'anonymous' before they were even called 'anonymous' (Only got the name from a Fox News report) It isn't anyone who used to be part of scientology. It's the lulz.
