This article is pretty spooky to me.

And those same people bash Muslims for being violent extremists. "Hey, guys! Gotta lead by example."

Beyond Irony, isn't it? Is it any wonder, Muslims (i don't like to
say "hate") severely distrust Christians? All the Crusades 1200 or so years ago, the bloodshed over the control of Jerusalem. You know the story. And our Genius of a President says: "Crusade", right there on TV, for all to see and hear! And then he brazenly orders the Invasion of a Muslim Country! "Onward Christian Soldiers!?"

Makes my Brain hurt!

You know, in the college I tutor at we have a Muslim woman [wears teh hijab even] who around 2005 thought she was the only person in the country who oppsoed the Iraq war and that disturbed her to believe so many other Americans [she's a U.S. citizen] were so in favor of violence and killing.

Poor woman!

After 9/11, there were so many banners flying, it looked like a documentary about the third reich on the history channel. Reminded me of the "duck and cover" drills in school, where your little wooden desk was supposed to protect you from a nuclear blast. Same with the flag. Terrorist threat? Fly the flag! That'll show them! And it will protect you! It was deemed unpatriotic, not to display the flag on SOMETHING, your house, car, T-shirt, whatever. Was kinda spooky.

The Bush Cabal played us like violins, didn't they?

No kidding about the flags, lets not forget our catch phrase "HOMELAND". I heard that and thought "FATHERLAND" and "MOTHERLAND" - we are Fascists.

When I confronted people about it they called me unpatriotic and stupid - so I recognized that this was the countries choice.

911 demanded a response but we could not even do that right, our actions have empowered the enemy so now we have a stronger and evolving enemy that is growing by pointing to our Crusade against them.

They can say "fight them over there" in the United States "so that we do not have to fight them here" [Iraq, Iran, Saudi......fill in the blank _____].

But we all know now (I hope) that this action was an incorrect move - it is a shame that the military is promoting religious fanaticism. I know that this is not accepted in the majority of the military population.

I fully understand the shock from, during and after what happened on 9/11. I was all: "yeah, lets get Usama Bin Laden and all those responsible"! Then...time passed...no Usama. No calling the Saudis out. No nothin'. Yeah, we went and bombed some things in Afghanistan. Then the war drums began beating against Saddam Hussein and Iraq. And I began to have a very bad feeling that I was being "played". To this day, that feeling has not left me.

Perhaps the military is promoting religious fanaticism, because this IS a Crusade!
