Don't worry about it all that much, we can see these things coming a long way off, and we can throw bombs at them and stuff! (like in that "Armageddon" movie)

Kay?
Actually in the movie one of the guys talks about putting a solar sail on it and actually this is one of the real solutions we have for such an event.

However as you recall that would not work because the astroid was to close. See we have people watching the skies for these things and they document and keep tabs on thousands of them. But there are many times more that they cannot keep tabs on as they do not have enough people or resources to do it.

From what I remember, one could very easily be missed until it was to late.

A high likelihood that we would miss it until too late. Also a high likelihood that it will happen. Also a high likelihood that it won't happen until man is long dead. A gigantic crap shoot.

If it is found too late, and the mechanics of it makes that likely, destroying it won't work as you can't destroy the total mass. That mass has force and inertia and those forces would still impact the earth.

We can use the Republican's magical death-ray shield, Ronald's RayGun.

Sure you'd say that

You can play games with dogmas while catmas sleep all day long.

True, those slobbering beasts are ridiculous suck ups. And they don't know how to use indoor plumbing, major negative when the weather is rotten.

Eh, they can be trained to go out and come back on their own. Training catmas to do anything on the other hand is a major pain.

No, they don't. We have to keep towels near the door at all times.

There are plenty of humans who don't wipe their feet either.
