If you're lucky...on quicksand, if you're not.

Those who are old enough to have had glass thermometers feature in their childhood fevers will the better recollect the little pool of mercury that rose to reveal body temperature...and, more importantly, whether you got to stay home from school...if they ever watched one of those glass tubes drop onto a tile floor and shatter.

Dealing with lies...strike that, there is no dealing...COPING with lies is like chasing mercury.

Just that Congress shall make no laws establishing religion. We need some church in our state on a voluntary basis.

If it'as on a voluntary basis, then it is not part of the state, but rather part of the individual. Indeed, why would God see any value in people being forced to go to church by the state?

Or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. That means that, according to the highest law in the land, all religious points of view are to be accorded equal respect. Including Satanism, Atheism, and Agnosticism. Wicca, Grecian gods, Norse gods, belief in leprechauns. If it's a belief in the unknowable, the Constitution affords it the same respect as any other belief in the unknowable. Which is none in particular.

Debatable.

But inarguably, we need some church taxes in our state coffers.

I could agree with that. There is a church on every other corner now. They could give 10 percent to Caesar.

Forcing people in regards to religion is ALWAYS a bad thing.

Which is precisely why State and Church must be kept separate.
