You do realize that the moon is slowly moving away from the Earth, right? And when it's far enough away, not only can we kiss tides goodbye, but we can also expect the Earth's rotation to quicken to the point that life as we know it will no longer be viable.

I tried to tell him awhile back, that we are losing our Moon about an inch a year, and that (aside from our sun expanding and getting bigger and hotter) is why we are having these climate problems. He didn't believe me, said I was mis-informed. I saw a show on the History Channel, titled: "The Moon", and it explained what is happening, regarding it moving away from the Earth, and how it changes climatic and magnetic conditions, that the moon keeps the earth rotating properly, and what it moving away from the earth will do. Was an interesting and scary show.

The Bible was the first source showing the earth is suspended in space. As a science text it is second to none. And God will simply nudge the Moon back into the right orbit at the right time.

Since the chickenshit E-man isn't a real Christian by any stretch of the imagination I'll have to assume that the event atop this thread it too much of a hit to the paradigm for Christians to cope with. I'm not if Dr. Ziaus or Gia are practicing members of Judaism or other Abrahamic religions [feel free to correct me], but it seems no one wants to answer from within those religions.

And you're just taking the word of somebody else who wasn't around to see it either.Got some kind of proof of that? Any evidence at all that there's a god hovering about and that it is specifically the god that you pretend to believe in? Quite a notion, that one... Hey, if God can do whatever he wants, then it follows that anytime the methods he uses seem cruel, it's because he CHOOSES cruelty. As an example, if God wants to forgive our sins, then we are forgiven. Simple as that. No need for any middle man or extreme measures. Therefore, the reason for Jesus to die for our sins is because God wanted it that way. So which do you think god is... A sadist or a masochist? Both, perhaps?Nor does he need yours to be wholly imaginary.

I am not a practicing christian, jew or muslim, although I was raised in the roman catholic faith.

But I think I stated, that christians would be orgasmically happy, if an asteroid slammed into the region of israel and wipe them all out. They would state that god has finally spoken, and that now they (christians) are truly the chosen people of god. They would then most likely try to kill all the muslims, and claim it is per god's request, because of his "sign", when he killed the israelites via a "heavenly" body (asteroid)

Christians are of the opinion, that christianity is the only true religion, and since those who can not be brought into the fold via conversion, are doomed/damned. And...they think this world should be converted to christianity, or be destroyed by "god".
