Lol, dude, if god reenergizes the expanding sun, he'll just fry us all sooner. What god needs to do is to grab a shovel and start removing helium and carbon from the sun's core. And do it SLOWLY over a very long period of time to keep the heat flux constant. And only then throw in a bit more hydrogen to keep things going.

His only other alternative would be to take fusion past Iron-56, but i think that'd do us in in the process as well. It's the heluim and the carbon that'll kill us all, not running out of hydrogen....

Nope. Just readjust the normal hydrogen fusion process. Child's play for the one who created countless stars. The Earth will NEVER be destroyed. Get used to it. God will always be and so will his creation.

Well, if he lowers the temperature of the sun, he'll kill off the fusion process and we'll all freeze. If he bumps the temperature, we'll fry. So far god demonstrated no realistic cold fusion process, so i wouldn't count on him there. We have never observed physics laws changed or suspended in a repeatable manner as well, so all those miracles won't do the trick - we are gonna need a sustained investment, not a cheap one time rabbit-out-of-the-hat magic. Gods had failed miserably when it comes to repeatability, and you want to trust them (or him, no matter) to run a fusion reactor for eternity? Lol, i hope humans will have spaceships by then to get away from god(s) as far away as possible...

I always think of HG Wells, when giant crabs roamed the earth and the sun was so big that it enveloped the sky...he wasn't wrong was he.

If fiction writers get it, then you will be right at home. The bible being a wonderful book of STORIES written by man, for man. If "God" meant for it to be the paramount text don't you think he would have came down and handed us a copy from the great library in the sky at the dawn of time?

Even if there is a God the possibly has to be accepted that the universe is so vast and unending (ouch my euclidean brain!) that he wouldn't care about our little corner of the galaxy. We are probably one of billions of worlds what the hell does he care? lol.
