Animals probably do not know they will die. We know we will die and we know around when. This allows us to understand the value of time-management. Even so, most people do not understand the value of time management.

What should we be doing in this time, and why? Hard to say, but we should all be able to ask ourselves if there is something better we could be doing with our time. Of course, we need to die so there is no over-population. Sound designy?

God didn't make proteins, ribosomes and t-RNA's did. Nor do proteins work well all the time... They are a pain to fold properly.

Well DNA surely could not design and build itself from chance combinations of proteins or amino acids. And let's not even talk about the atoms that make up DNA. You have to reach to ignore God's work.
