You must realize that Jesus washed away all of our sins and once I have paid the price of death myself and then Resurrected, all the past is dead. Everyone gets a fresh beginning. And this time we will be much more determined to get it right.

Then what reason do you have for not going out and sinning left and right like you have always claimed you would do in the absence of God? If dying gets you a clean slate, you've got nothing to lose. More to the point, if Jesus died for your sins, you owe it to him to sin enough to make it worth his while, don't you?

That would be directly going against God's wishes. I know what they are and my love for God and my respect for his designs make me WANT to obey his rules. I know they are the right rules for us.
