verse Leviticus 20:13 from King James Version : "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."


This is the biggie. Notice that when asked why they don't support slavery of children or stoning of farmers and housewives, (as proscribed in the same bible), you usually get the old song and dance. What I call cafeteria christians.

I was hoping the resident superherO & self proclaimed follower of the book would show up..... But then I guess that would be asking to much.........

There is prob some women in another forum in need for some harassment or pestering........... Afterall if it makes him feel good it must be ok w/ others..........

God laid down 10 commandments.. No more no less............

Of all the things he don't like-rules, abomination, sins etc..... etc...etc.... I would think these would be/are the biggies. The priorities..... The ten things God wants ppl to stay up on.....

So if gay is all that eman & others play it up to be how come it don't even make the top ten????

I mean WTF if it can even make God's top ten???

During that time there is some who believe that homosexual acts were performed on lesser important men as an act of dominance. There's some conjecture that this is what that verse is referring to, and not actual homosexual attraction.

Besides, what's the point if someone isn't a Christian? Let them worry about their own. Or try to convert those who are supposedly going down the wrong path.

I have more respect for people who try and convert you rather then just impose their morality. At least that shows a type of concern, and potential logic and problem solving. Instead of just damming those who are different.

Is it just me, or is it odd that Christians are supposed to go by the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament yet they defer to the God of fire and brimstone in the First Testament?

Well it is pretty selective... Cherry picking the things that are important @ the time.......

Example that: an hour or so ago mr bible himself was saying/referring to (poorly I might add) "render unto Caesar that which is Caesars"......

& yet in the same hour he is bashing/praising (wrongly & looking like an ass for doing so) Caesar for/to do his bidding & ban gay marriage......

A civil ceremony or recognition is the realm of Caesar....... Render it up.............

I'd like to see the original Hebrew.
Leviticus also bans the wearing of linen and certain foods.

I'll bet that Leviticus was saying that 'laying' with one certian guy was an abomination and then he went after the foods and clothes...

Yeah but leviticus also says that MANY others shall be put to death! Men who sleep with their daughters, men who sleep with their fathers wives, men who see their fathers naked, men who see their mother's or their sisters naked, men who commit adultry and the women they commit adultry with, men who sleep with beasts, women who sleep with beasts, men who see their wives naked during their periods, anyone who curses their father or their mother, witches, psychics, ..... I am sure I have left some out.

Frankly---given the list there are not many---republican or democrat who should not have been put to death or exiled from the USA.
