Americans are so hypocritical on this issue. That's why I'm agnostic. In America, it's the Christian thing to do! I won't give to any church. I give my time and money to help individuals and causes I care about and personally try to make a difference. I think a lot of Americans hope that there church will do these things for them, but the church leaders seem to be pouring all those donations into bigger and bigger churches. WTFWJD?

Instead of believing our invisible friend will help us out, xtians should get off their asses and help the poor and needy as is jesus' message.

Oh yeah, in america all a xtian needs to do is go to church and repent and they are allowed to do anything they choose. (as long as they continue to believe in jesus as savior)

How's this any different from liberals who want the government to take care of society's problems? I don't need or want the government to do my charity work for me.

But what they are supposed to do is sell all they have, give the money to the poor, and follow Jesus. Literally.

I don't see many "Christians" doing that.
