Microsoft Office

OK, so....we just picked up MS Office Home and Student Version. Does any one know if that was a good choice. Personally I would have liked the updated version of MS Publisher that came with one of the more expensive versions but....really we only needed it to open Email attachments from Jeff's office.

Anyway, any tips and advise for PowerPoint, Word or anything else would be much appreciated.

Sure, I have no problems with MS Office it's probably the most used office program in the world. I have to use PowerPoint all the time at work and can honestly say that, as a developer, I hate it lol. It limits you on what you can fit into a space, it's proprietary and doesn't leave a lot of room for making changes. That's just me though, I like more freedom and prefer to just design my stuff in a web page instead if I need to because I can customize my layout better. However, many people do like it and it's a very universal application.

I think we spent a lot of money, but Jeff needs power point as well. At least this way he can work more at home. Oh well, I have Publisher 97. Sure it's ten years old but it still works with XP so, I'll have to be satisfied with that for now.

I like WordPerfect a LOT better, but most people like Word cause they've never really tried WP.
