Mars may take a hit

This would be really interesting to see. I wonder if any of our probes or rovers would be able to catch it in real-time, or at least get some hi-res shots of the strike?

My father joked the asteroid might smash one of the probes.

That was my thoughts also when they described that it might hit the region where the probes are - what a sight, hope the cameras are rolling.....

The odds of the asteroid hitting Mars have been raised from a 1 in 350 to a 1 in 75 chance.

I thought the article said the probs will be out of harms way even though the strike might be in the same area..but I'm not going to re-read it to be sure.

That's what NASA says, yeah. But think asbout who these people are. They fucked up one probe because some jackoff used English Standard instead of Metric.

Think about this one.............what in the hell would we do if this much-anticipated manned Mars mission took place, and a week after the poor bastards got there NASA had to radio them and say........DUCK!!!
