It...broke?

My tv is being weird. I can turn it on and change the volume by the buttons on the front panel...but I can't use the remote. It's not the remote's battery because the dedicated tv remote nor the cable remote will budge the volume...the power button for the tv on both remotes won't work either.

Any ideas?

Try cleaning the infrared sensors on both the TV and the remotes. If that doesn't work you may have a faulty receptor.

Also try replacing the batteries anyway. Sometimes just low power can effect response.

You probably shouldn't be watching t.v. at 4 in the morning! Unless you have a thing for infomercials

Every so often, I accidentally press a button that screws up my remotes too.

I could understand the cable remote not responding if you errantly pushed one of the buttons that would work a dvd, or vcr.

The t.v. remote should work though. Ask the dog what he did while you were in the bathroom.

I shall try this tomorrow when my internet Pandora radio station does not caption my interest.

I was listening to my Music Choice channels (no DJ or commercials!). Wish I could blame it on the dogs though...remotes are always out of their reach. :-P

My dog changes the channels all the time. He doesn't know he's doing it....but he does it.
