Imagine their surprise when their camera catches me ordering the dish network.

I guess they'll be spamming me with TP and hemorhhoid creme adds when I tape a picture of my puckerstring to their little "ad-cam".

Are you fucking kidding me? how do we know they haven't already equipped the current box with a camera that is not activated????

This is creepy beyond the normal. I guess I may have to go without tv. i already cover my mac camera with tape unless i-chatting friends. Just creeps me out to think of the what if?

As stupid as I think this idea is...I don't think the image is broadcast...I don't even think it could be broadcast...yet.

But the scary part would be that if it does at least store a log of when you were watching TV that the cops may try to subpeona it and whatever you were watching....kind of like phone records..

yep..more data mining aimed directly at your privacy, and your wallet. I just cant imagine something like this would be legal.

depending on the level, it's no different than requiring you to sign on to use the internet....

I saw this movie. In the late 70s, I saw a movie where this astronaut come 'back' to the earth only to find it's not the earth but another nearly identical earth with this kind of shit going on.
I'm not worried what Comcast is thinking. I'm worried about what other entities are thinking about 'next'.
