In any population there are those that disagree with such activities. There are some in the Christian population that do follow Christ's teachings, yet they do nothing to renounce those that proclaim to follow these teachings and use them to prey upon the desperate. What is interesting is that if one stands up against the "bad apple" Christians the "good apple" Christians turn their backs, complicit in their silence.

Christians as a collective are opportunistic. They open the Bible, find a phrase that they interpret as justifying their atrocities and moral failings. Crusades, American Indians, the priest child molester cover ups......

I am not against the advances in genetic engineering, I am just concerned about who will benefit from them and what populations have the resources to benefit. Consider if Hitler had escaped and was treated ?

People with good intentions are bending over backwards to provide weapons of mass destruction and control to sociopaths. As they say "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions".

LOL.. Well then that would make Christians just like everybody else...

I have some issues w/ it. & you bring up a few right there....

Not only can these things be used for good.... They can also be used for bad......... Say to get rid of some particular group.. Not to worry though we have the likes of mansanto regulating their industry........ I am sure that is a comforting thought......

I am glad that I did not follow some of the opportunities that were available to me. I hear people that I know talk about processes of control and killing, like they are doing good things for society, for America. When I mention "incidents" they respond that there are checks and balances, that things cannot happen.

I respond that if there were functional checks and balances in American society. When I present incidents of possible police brutality, lawyer malfunction and courtroom indiscretion, items that the process should have been proactive in addressing the institutions chose to ignore them.

We have been a focus of a Christian Crusade, an attorney that used the courts to facilitate their persecution of chattel. This attorney did not look at their client because the client was a man. They "abused process" and we later discovered that they were active in selecting Republican politicians. We were told that our attorney was running for office. Apparently these activities and others that we have experienced does not bother the establishment in Virginia. Yet we must be punished severely for our indiscretions.

I suspect that certain groups have maneuvered individuals with similar goals into positions of power as a result there are no fair/impartial/functional controls. Any person that has issues is ignored and marginalized. You are now seeing this process on the national scale. Unless one has a "public" forum their issue is discarded and these groups can continue with their fraud, the drones follow their directions, they are not competent to make a judgment call. If they were then those people in power would not be committing illegal activities without consequences. Consider if they did their jobs and went for the leaders, just the publicity would shine a light on their activities and maybe this society could ride this bronco. I suspect that the drones are compromised also, programmed to obey their masters.
