Wow. Joan Walsh went on the O'Reilly Factor tonight having publicly vowed to be well-prepared to defend the reproductive rights of women and the legality of Dr. George Tiller's clinical practice, and truly doled out some major ownage without raising her voice or raising the temperature at all. It was an artful performance of talking headery, and what can I say? By the end of their two segments, O'Reilly is reduced to a gibbering, shout-faced wreck. If you need to know how far Walsh pummeled O'Reilly into pure insipidity, wait for the moment where he says to her: "My constitutional rights say I can say what I say, you can say what you say, as vile as you say it, you can say it, and I would never condemn you for saying it. You are misguided, you have blood on your hands because you portrayed this man as a hero."
Right. Bill O'Reilly would never condemn you for speaking your mind, if you don't count the whole YOU ARE VILE and YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS condemnation part!

I logged an fcc complaint against him yesterday. It was simple at the time but I don't remember how now.
I said he continued to call a law abiding citizen a murderer which rallied a certain segment of his audience to take action. and if a split second slip of a nipple could cause such an uproar and fine, a murder should cause much more.

ps i don't agree with your sig, tho. Spirituality is a personal matter and some people need/want the comforts of organized religion their lives. I think of my peaceful, widowed English grandmother who was so active in her village Anglican church her last 20 years of her life through different community and church volunteerism.

Please keep in mind that the majority of religious people are moderate in their religious views and not fundie or extremist.
It's extremist "religious" ppl who are not respectful of others who chose to have no religious affiliation.

This rational dialogue has been snuffed out by the /fuddie extremist christian viewpoint that took over national christian dialogue the last 10 years or so. Thank goodness other christian believers are speaking out and being heard.
