The intrigue -- well, it's like modern politics in a lot of ways. Very cool.

I must have been drawn to English history in particular because it'd been "in the air" when I was little: the BBC ran a lot of historical series during the 70s, and I'd watch them (one of the few programs I was "allowed" to watch, feh). TV has a bigger impact on shaping children than most of us would like to admit (I think so anyway).
They wouldn't let you watch tv???

I love history & love to explore it but I have found the same, most ppl could care less............

I was referring to the coming out of the middle ages & through the crusades & the Plantagenet clan..

I have read about the Greek, Roman, Persian era's but I think I find the most fascinating is Central Asia & Middle east, right now anyway..

Maybe cause less is known it seems more mysterious??? I was really into Native American for a while, back in the day, after reading "bury my heart @ wounded knee" & "Creek Mary's blood" (About the trail of tears)...

I think the reason I find the family stuff not so interesting as it is like a soap opera & I don't care for them........ But as you know much of that family intrigue & pillow talk has altered history...
