    Jim Inhofe for re-election!

    PLEASE RE-CONSIDER

Please feel free to pile on...I hope yall check Andrew Rice out at the link below. He needs NATIONAL support to win this thing (and get rid of Inhofe)...but this isn't all about voting Inhofe out it's also about a good man who can help change things...Andrew Rice

(re-printed from a local blog site in Oklahoma City)...

A mint julep high colonic couldn’t reduce the substance that permeates from this man, nor would it change his vile stench of crony quaff. What should be an embarrassment to any sane republican seems to be furthered only because he’d like you to think a vote for any democrat is a vote for communism. This writer would rather think you are above that.

Here are some things to chew on:

The GOP Presidential candidate John McCain acknowledges global warming and that’s part of his campaign platform to address. Bush also agrees about GW but Inhofe depends on your ignorances and fears to prolong his crony’s profits for the oil industry. The only other explanation for this is that he only reads the Yoklahoman newsrag they pass off as “public record” here.

Inhofe, in an interview in May said “I don’t know why president Bush’s approval ratings are so low”…obviously hoping you ignore reality and vote him back into office in November.

“Inhofe voted against increasing veterans’ health care funding by $2.8 billion on March 16, 2005, (S.Amdt. 149 to S.Con.Res. 18), voted against establishing a funding formula for veterans’ health care that would keep pace with inflation and population growth on Oct. 5, 2005 (S.Amdt. 1937 to H.R. 2863), voted against a proposal to roll back millionaire tax cuts in order to increase mental health care funding for veterans’ by $500 million on Nov. 17, 2005 (S.Amdt. 2634 to S. 2020), and voted against eliminating a proposed tripling of fees for retired military in the TRICARE health-care program on March 16, 2006 (S.Amdt. 3143 to S.Con.Res. 83). The fee cuts would have been offset by eliminating corporate tax loopholes.

His voting record hasn’t been any better when it comes to giving our troops what they need to stay safe. He voted against an amendment to the Defense Appropriations for $360.8 million to provide armored vehicles to American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan on Oct. 5, 2005, (S.Amdt. 1933 to H.R. 2863) voted against better body armor for our troops, by opposing an amendment to the FY 2004 Supplemental Appropriations bill to provide an additional $322 million for safety equipment, including body armor, to troops in Iraq on Oct. 2, 2003, (S.Amdt. 1817 to S. 1689), and voted to kill a proposal to provide $44 billion to improve and repair military equipment on Feb. 2, 2006 (S.Amdt. 2737 to S.Amdt. 2707 to H.R. 4297).”

(reprinted from the Edmond Sun, June 9th, 2008 edition).

These are the actual facts. You can listen to the AM spin or go along with the Oklahoman’s endorsements of Inhofe or you can consider voting this man out of office and replacing him with a real supporter of the troops.

We have troops, some on their 3rd or 4th tours in Iraq and Afghanistan that need your help. Many will be returning home soon and need help to re-adjust, receive medical, and educational assistance.

If you need to understand how horrible it has been for our troops I highly recommend you see the movie Stop Loss and start reading other news sources for what is really going on.

His opponent is state Senator Andrew Rice. You can view his website for more information and I think you’ll find that he is a true man of faith that understand the issues we and the troops are facing in the coming years. We need changes in our leadership to return to true American values and repair the damage from the last 7.5 years. Please wake up.
