Undefeated!!

I don't care massively for Boxing these days but this one has been nicely Hyped Up. Here's hoping Ricky Hatton wins, Mayweather does nothing but run his arrogant mouth.

I've never actually paid for a PPV fight, ....but I must admit I'm strongly considering this one.

Mayweather - arrogant, mouthy, wealthy flashy ...and a fucking great fighter. How about his resiliance through Oscar's left hooks to his body in their fight? ...+....I think that Mayweather's flash certainly adds to the intrigue + the setup of the fight.

Hatton - So tough. So relentless. What a body attack Mayweather will be required to endure. You know Hatton will get hit...(He always does). The question is, can he find Mayweather?

I think he will. I also think that Mayweather will dance and box, protecting what he's got, and counterpunching, while Hatton chases him.

I also think that with Mayweathers little feign that he does, (as Oscar pointed out in the finale of 24/7) Hatton can get in some body work.

Another thing I noticed in their training footage, was the lack of head movement when Floyd is doing his speed punching, while Ricky is constantly bobbing his head all around when bashing the shit out of his trainer.

The flashy rich champion against the brawling blue collar fighter from the corner bar.
(I'm stoked for this one)

Hatton all the way, has to be. Hattons record is better too, Hatton actually is pound for pound the best fighter in the world, but the US only likes to have an American in that role. Hatton will show the world he's the man. It's also US v GB... oddly enough alot of US peeps seem to want Hatton to win simply cause Mayweather doesn't stop talking and running his mouth haha.

You can count me in that group. Certainly, its easy for alot of people to relate to a guy like Ricky. No fucking manicures for that guy. GO RICKY!!

Hopefully the boy from Manchester can pull a Kelly Pavlik and drop him.

...Doesnt he live in Vegas?

I can understand rooting for the home team, but I cant say that "Pretty boy" is carrying the flag into the ring for me. (seems to me Floyd fights for himself)

Which I think is what endears Ricky to so many people. Such love of his fans, and it would seem that hes certainly more accessible to his fans than Floyd.

...Which would explain why Floyd's hometown vegas crowd boo'd him, and cheered Hatton.

I don't even care for boxing but there is something endearing about Ricky Hatton. It's almost like hes the good guy taking on the bad guy here. That's how it is being portrayed at least. I expect that a week after the fight is over I will have long since forgotten about the result and will be back to being miserable or delighted by my favourite football (soccer) team. Newcastle United
