I think it's a state vs government thing and they both want to file separate charges on the same items. It could very well be a case for double jeopardy but you never know.

I hope there's more than justice to this...I hope he finally learns what his Mama should've taught him when he was a small boy.

I've never done any criminal work, so I don't understand this principle at all. You see people charged with multiple counts over the exact same singular event all the time, then there's a situation like this where there are multiple events and crimes, and they argue double jeopardy. I actually thought the federal charges would be somewhat limited, while the state would have separate laws that covered different acts. It'll be interesting to see how it all comes out.

I can't either. When I think about those dogs being tortured like that I just see red. I can't imagine the fear they were feeling while those fuckers were inflicting pain on them before they killed them. That fucking bastard deserves to be wrapped in meat and thrown to a pack of wolves.

i disagree. that would be torture. evil for evil is not acceptable.

i think he should be locked up for a dog's natural life. 12 years or so. nothing compares to the taking of freedom.

Yeah, that seems pretty reasonable actually - too bad the court's don't use that as a yard stick.

It's just so awful to look at my precious boxer lying at my feet all the time, such a loving sweet, innocent creature, who only wants to be loved, and imagining someone doing to her what was done to these poor dogs. Makes you feel a little vengeful, but I don't think anyone would seriously want done to him what was done to them, cause that would make us just as bad as he is.

I have a teacher type personality so I'm always wanting Vick to learn something from this.

People have to ask themselves just why the guidelines for this offense called for such short of sentences. The elephant in the room is this country not taking this sort of thing seriously until now.

As awful as it is, dog fighting was actually the norm in many poor areas around the country, and unfortunately still is. Remember when this story first broke, and a lot of his teammates, black and white, were brushing it off? Then, the hysteria breaks out, and they wind up apologizing. A lot of the country did that same 360. Aside from true animal enthusiasts, dog fighting wasn't on anyone's mind, despite a common knowledge in this country that it was going on. People claiming they never knew it was going on? Give me a break. That's just laughable. These are probably the same people who didn't know athletes were taking steroids until Bonds got busted...

His "mama"?

Is Micheal Vick on record referring to his mother that way, or is your comment meant to entice?
