The NFL freakshow

Its quite common to call all modern day baseball records in question, saying that they should be noted but perhaps with the asterisk by them, in fact terms like "steriod era" are used all the time when discussing the state of major league baseball...now i am a baseball nut and i do have an appreciation for the sacred sanctity of baseball records.

Its a whole 'nuther story:

would it suprise anyone to find out that half the NFL is "juiced" or do you think my estimate is off? People dont care, fans dont care, i would even make the case that for MLB, that fans dont care...unless the juiced freak is unlikeable, unless that freak is challenging longstanding "sacred" records.

do you care?

Yeah, certainly I'd care. I've always thought the NFL did a better job policing itself than most, cause they're even catching the tokers, but after the events surrounding the Pats CHEEEEEEEEETING, I've reconsidered that thought.

Do you really teri? Because a case could be made for your favre-ite player(lord Favre) and his 'consecutive starts at QB' record. I mean he had a problem with drugs but he pretty much gets a free pass, a person could make the argument that his afformentioned 'addiction' manifested itself in his pursuit of 'greatness' he abused prescription drugs to make himself ready to play and got a little more than he bargained for...

Ooooohhhh! You're calling me out then. Well, Favre was addicted to prescription pain killers, prescribed initally or injuries he sustained on the field. He TURNED HIMSELF IN, went through rehab, and all drug testing the league required and passed it all with flying colors. And if you think he's survivied 250 consecutive starts or 17 years in the league high as a kite, you must be nuts.

A case could be made, I suppose, but it would be a spiteful, biased one.

If you're going to discuss the NFL "freak show" surely you're going to discuss the biggest freaks of them all, the fans who foot the bill for it. And that goes for the baseball freak show, too. That mitchell report is coming out in a few hours, where like half the fucking league is going to be implicated. Think ticket sales will drop? Nah. This shit was all about screwing Barry Bonds.

I think your estimate is off. 98% would be a much better guess than half.
