I wish they would change to sig p226 as standard issue it would be better well..for me. lol.

Yeah, I like S&W, its worth the extra cash. For civilian use its perfectly appropriate, I wouldn't go into combat with a revolver though.
I did not carry a pistol in the military only a rifle. I did carry a S&W .357 revolver for 20 years before changing to Sig.45 cal. The two weapons were furnished to me by the state but I was satisfied with both. We had to qualify often to which I was just an average shot with the pistol. My scores were much better with the 357 revolver than they were with the .45 semi automatic pistol.

In the military I carried the old M-16. In boot camp we trained with the M-14 which I had much more confidence in. The M-14 was a little heavy to carry and the M-16 made more sense in Vietnam.

If you have not fired the mini -14 you would probably be very impressed with it. You will find it shoots a tighter pattern than the AR 15 and fires the same caliber ammo.

Taunting humans from thousands of miles away ?
Taunting fucking deer over the internet ?
Emasculated anger ?
Hunt myself ?
  • What is your point ?
  • Why would I want to taunt two deer fucking - you see what a pissed off deer could do to a human ? Oh over the internet, taunting would be irrelevant to the hairy fuckers, kind of a waste of time.
  • Growl, growl
  • Bang - dammit I missed, need more practice, git over here and stand still.

Go taunt a Tiger in the San Francisco Zoo, let me know how that turns out.....

I guess guns just creep me out so much that I just had to ask if the true desire is to kill people, because gun "enthusiasts" are always talking about scenarios of people invading their homes, as if it's ever going to happen. Ive always assumed they wanted it to happen. But this whips thing brings up a whole new question for gun nuts, especially female ones.
You don't listen. You never do. Is it a disability? I've already told you I can't be baited, junior. Like I would discuss my private life with you? Now that's amusing.

As far as home invasions go: you'd probably pee yourself trying to live where I do. We're ten miles from the nearest habitation, and law enforcement couldn't find this house if they had GPS. (Which they don't) We live deep in the our woods surrounded by thousands of acres of commercial planted pine.

I'll educate you about living so remote. Jerks ride around looking for places to break into that are remote. We have cameras on both driveways because of this.

In the past week here a 63 yr old woman (living remote) had a young guy break into her home and rape her all night. She was in the dark, but she recognized his voice. The sheriff's office got him, and then those losers allowed him to escape.

Two days later a different criminal broke into another elderly couple's home and shot him in the face. Once again the S/O got him, and that AH escaped as well. Do I call the law here if I have issues? Hell no. The law here is a joke. Am I willing to play victim? Riddle it out.

There are places like that still ?

Do you all have problems with those damn ATV's ? It would not be so bad if they learned about mufflers.
Litterers that leave their trash all over ? Spent more time picking up after these jerks.

One advantage about the camera technology is that it provides you with some advance warning.
An advantage about living remote is that you can address your own problems like adults, without moronic meddling.

Congratulations on finding someplace where you can act and be treated as an adult, rather than some sheep to be harvested.

Some need to be "kept", "protected" in the "womb" - allowing them to have guns would be like giving a two year old a hand grenade (thumb clip pull pin). Especially modern weapons, the hose and pray type. Then again it might help with the population factor.

I was on the sharpshooting team and the biathlon team back in my cadets days, so I shot mostly with modified Lee Enfield bolt-action WWI rifles, but we also got to use an Anschutz for actual biathlon competitions.

My father has an antique derringer as well as a 1790's Tower of London flintlock pistol that looks exactly like this one

Here's hoping it'll go to me.

That pretty much does it as far as firearms go for me.

Yep, there are huge chunks of Ga. that are lowly populated. We've owned this property 25 years, and these days it isn't so easy to come by. (Still, a friend from Fl. managed to nab a 107 acre parcel up the road from us. They plan on builiding there someday.) We only have 55 acres of hardwood, but seeing that the thousands of acres of pines around that will not change in our lifetimes I think I can live with that. *G* The downside is I drive a two hour round trip to grocery shop. It is nice though..to walk out the door and hear birds and only birds.

Yeah, in hunting season we have ATV's maybe once a day up and down our road. They lease chunks of those pines for hunting rights, but they can't build dwellings on it.

Hell yes on the trash. We take turns driving our Rhino up and down the road picking it up, and I have to admit the only thought running through my head while I'm doing it is shoving that trash up the ass of the person that tossed it there. I can't abide nasty, so I pick it up.

It stops when hunting season is over.

I've lived in the city with the screaming, domestic neighbors, boom boxes, train noise, speed boats, sirens, and general crap. I'll take the woods!

This is good to hear ..... Pine, evergreens wont lose their needles with winter, provide some cover, makes it hard to case the place.

Had some West Virginia Property before somethings happened here in Virginia. Thought I was far enough out, not, ATV's without mufflers on the other hill sounded like the city, litterers and thieves. Guess it was country folks doing that.

This is funny, had a wheel barrow that always had a flat tire, was using it to haul rocks to build a road bed. Hid it in the center of my place, outta sight. Someone stole the damn thing - kind of ruined the idea of staging materials for a cabin.

I'd be concerned about the city hunters that want to go and kill bambi on someone else's property then mount the head on their .... Only they cant tell a deer from a horse.

If it's to be a getaway cabin I'd strongly suggest a false wall. This place was broken into so many times I lost count. We remodeled the great room, and built a walk-in false area...no door, literally. We'd pry the cover gently off on visits and take the TV, stereo, camo, etc. out, and put it back in upon leaving. They got so friggin desperate they took knives, forks, and spoons after that, lol!

After we moved in there were quite a few pickups pulling into and quickly backing out of the driveway in the beginning. Word got around "we were home", it that stopped. I hadn't had anything stolen until this past Thanksgiving when the fookers took my dogs. May they rot in hell.
