Fuzzy Zoeller's comment many years ago was a tad racist.

No doubt "lynch" was a poor choice of word.

"Take him out back and hurt his wrists" might have been a little less controversial.

Years ago, Howard Cosell got in a bit of trouble, when he uttered the words "Look at that little monkey run!" on Monday night football. The comment, about Alvin Garret from the Washington Redskins, raised a few eyebrows.

That is, until they did a little checking and found that he used the term "Little Monkey" to describe small, fast runners of all ethnicities.

Tiger Woods is one of those individuals who allows even the racists to sit back, and admire his ability. Same as Michael Jordan. You can't take anything away from their level of play. And...they carry themselves in a professional manner, off the court/course.

seems pretty dang offensive/racist to me, I can't imagine golf gal saying...

"the golfers should just take Mickelson out back and lynch him"

I enjoy watching Phil too...but that "creative" style of play, bites him in the arse way too often.

It is something, to see him pull off some of those par saving shots, though...notwithstanding the 06 US Open!

Tiger is not "black" so fuck all that. There is no true "black" as far as the racists implications imply other than a true African; everything else is just a mutt like the rest of everyone else. As far as race cards go; Sharpton is the worst fucking hypocrite on this planet.

Is it racism or sensitivity that makes one assume a black man will react different to the term "lynch"

Between the two, I would say sensitivity. Why would a racist care how a black person reacts to the term lynch?
