This is what complete and total ownership looks like:

6/5/07 - Chase Utley hits a 2-run home run off of Pedro Feliciano in the top of the 10th. Mets lose 4-2.

6/6/07 - The Mets are up 2-0. Jimmy Rollins hits a 3-run home run off of Aaron Heilman in the 7th inning. Mets lose 4-2.

6/7/07 - The Mets are up 3-2 in the 9th. Pat Burrell ties the game with a home run off of Billy Wagner. The Phillies score 3 in the 10th. Mets lose 6-3.

8/28/07 - The Mets are up 2-0 in the 8th. Pedro Feliciano gives up a solo home run to Jimmy Rollins to get the Phillies going and the Phillies get another run to tie it up on an infield hit after the ball refused to roll foul. Ryan Howard hits a 2-run walk-off home run in the 10th off of Guillermo Mota. Mets lose 4-2.

8/29/07 - Down by a run in the 9th, Marlon Anderson gets called for interference trying to break up a double play to end the game. If he doesn't get called for interference, the Mets would have tied the game. Mets lose 3-2.

8/30/07 - The Mets come back from a 5 run deficit. With the Mets leading 10-8, Pat Burrell hits a solo home run in the 8th. The Phillies tie the game in the 9th against Billy Wagner and then Chase Utley hits the walk-off single to win it. Mets lose 11-10.

9/14/07 - With the Mets leading 2-0, Chase Utley hits a game-tying 2-run home run in the 6th. Greg Dobbs drives in the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly in the 10th. Mets lose 3-2.

9/15/07 - The Mets lead 3-2 in the 8th. Aaron Rowand ties the game with a leadoff home run. Jimmy Rollins puts the Phillies up 5-3 with a triple after Carlos Beltran misplays the ball. Mets lose 5-3.

9/16/07 - The game is tied 5-5 in the 6th inning. The Mets give up a run and then Greg Dobbs hits a grand slam home run. Mets lose 10-6.

7/4/08 - Tonight's debacle: The Mets' "ace" Johan Santana is given a 2-0 lead. With 2 outs in the 6th, he promptly surrenders both runs back. With 2 outs and no one on in the 9th in a 2-2 ballgame, Duaner Sanchez gives up a double to Pedro Feliz. On a 1-2 count to the next batter Shane Victorino, he gives up the walk-off single. Mets lose 3-2. Happy Independence Day!

Funny, this team doesn't look any different than it did w/Willie at the helm.

Wright's hitting up to his ability now, Carlos D. is healthy, and hitting a ton...nothing to do w/management.

They still go back and forth between putting up football scores, and soccer scores.

It still comes down to the bullpen.

What would Willie do?

Willie deserved to go just for not knowing what the squeeze play is. Manuel is no better. Omar has fucked the team up. Wilpon always hires incompetent management.

I hate to say it, but it's over. Ron Paul has a better chance of being elected President than these Mets have of making the playoffs.

Phillies win the NL East, Cubs win the NL Central, Cardinals win the NL wild card, and some crappy team (probably the Dodgers) wins the NL West.

All this in July?

The Phils. have to remain healthy, and the Mets still need a bullpen.

Shit happens.
