macnamee was a cop for 3 years, so basically he was preserving evidence in case this ever came out...then it wouldn't be his word against clemens, the syringes will have traces of the steroids and the growth hormone and the gauze will have his blood on it, then they can match the age of them against the time frame he is accused of using...i'd say macnamme covered his ass pretty good

It is odd that this trainer would keep needles and gauze for this long. As sleezy as this guy seems to be he would have blackmailed Clements. The one congressman hit it right on the head this guy is no more than a drug dealer. Who can believe a drug dealer? |

Fuck Clemens! He was a childhood idol of mine and ruined that image while I was playing for LSU. Later in 2000 he further ruined that by throwing that half bat (wooden steak) at Mike Piazza; whom I had always thought a smug prick up until then. I suddenly found myself like Mike much more after the way he handled the situation. I just wish he'd have been able to drop Rog with an uppercut.

I don't know about that. There's nothing nefarious about being a personal trainer and being good enough at it to train professional athletes. Who's to say he didn't get sucked into involvement with these drugs by the athletes themselves. There's a lot of presuming in calling the trainer a sleaze, but not to big a stretch to call Clemens lying, cheating ass one.
