He's like the undead. Green Bay can't be this stupid. What are they going to wheel him out there for the long ball?

The NFL channel reporting today that phone calls have gone out to several teams, in trades for Favre.

I heard something about the Jets.

They called practically everyone, save probably the Vikes. Goodell is said to have called the Pack mgmnt and told them to clean this up.

I think Favre wants to go to the Vikes, and would only go to a team he is guranteed to start as well as a team that is a SB possiblility. Otherwise, he won't show just like Jake Plummer. Tamp Bay has been getting alot of attention, but Favre and Chucky wouldn't work - system. Also TB has Garcia and no real expectations for Janurary.

Vikes, Pack, or he sits our a year and we do this all for real next season.

He won't sit if he can help it. NFC North is probably out of the question. The NFL is also looking at Vikings e-mail accounts for impropriety.

I like Garcia, he's a gamer. Bears look set in the Grossman/Orton spiral...

Bears are definitely out. The thing about Grossman, he's got alot of potential and while potential kills coaches, his might be for real. With that crappy O-line, complete lack of a run game, now without any bona fide RB, and losing one of the leagues best WRs means that nobody can be a success at QB there.

Garcia is really good. He's also getting really old and injury prone. Kinda like Favre, so that wouldn't be a good mix on top of the scheme being wrong.

As an NFC team (Boys) fan, I don't want to see Favre with the Vikes as they look to be a QB shy of being awesome.

I agree with everything you say here, I just refuse to accept a lot of it.

Cash & people to worship him, no wonder everyone loves him he perfectly reflects America's value system at present.
Green Bay is crazy to fuck with him, the only reason anyone outside of Wisconsin wears a Packers jersey or pretends like they're a fan is a direct result of Brett Farve being in Green Bay. As soon as he's gone it will be just like it was in 1988 when nobody thought of the Packers except old men yearning for the good ol' days of Vince Lombardi.

The press is labeling Favre as being a baby. But what about Green Bay's management being babies? Just release him! Oh, I know, he'll go to Minnesota...and haunt them. Then he must still have it! Let him start another year. Just imagine if the Raiders were pulling this shit. Imagine a few years ago that Rich Gannon retired then wanted to come back, but Al Davis said he wouldn't start. So then he asked for a release, with Denver or SD showing interest in him, and Davis refused to release him. The press would fucking crucify Davis. But in the Favre's instance, it's the big bad monster Brett Favre picking on the feeble, innocent little Green Bay Packers. Fuck that. I'm losing about as much respect for the sports media as I am for the MSM. It's all one big joke, anymore.
