Boycott horse racing and ban rodeos. Bulls, horses, and calves are subjected to a lifetime of cruelty and risk of injury. The livestock always ends up in the slaughterhouses. There is nothing humane or entertaining about rodeos. I can't imagine how terrifying it must be for those poor animals.

I hadn't thoght about rodeos, being an east coast dude.
But yes, that is as bad, and prolly worse than racing.

And as to slaughter of horses for food, that goes to the whole
"Eating animals thing" - which I plead guilty to.
At least it's " productive", unlike sports.
What really gets me is the inhumane factory farms that turn out animals in squalid conditions.

The world pretty much stinks. Asians are wiping out sharks simply so the can eat the "shark fin soup"

I'm all for banning both. I constantly protested Greyhound racing in Fl. What they do to those dogs is very sad.

(Not the racing people...how they LIVE, if you can call it that...and how quickly they are killed.)

Because individually we are powerless. Only as a collective can anything be accomplished. Be careful, in the current political climate, that collective could just be conspiracy. the japanese and chinese in particular are envirnonmental terrorists. Decimating and endangeriong entriwe species. they say the giant sea clam is gone because of japanese fishing, same with sharks in the near future. Just for soup! the southern coast of china is known for exotic fare, a ship was recently found abandoned in the south china sea that had rare anuimal parts and live animals for food consumption, tortoise, monkeys, bears, some near extinct.

I've signed every petition to close our local racetracks that has come my way. Horse and Dog.

I wouldn't mind if the turn over in animals were as much as a hunter, or a sheep herder, or farmer. Many domesticated animals were breed to work in some form or another.

But not to be a revolving door of short lived usefulness then injured and put down. It's too much just so some degenerates can gamble.
