apparently i have missed something, can someone please fill me in...why is every team wearing a black gu patch on their uniforms, the coaches wearing pins on their lapels and it being painted on the fields?

i am racking my brain trying to remember/figure out who of that importance died and will probably feel like a schmuck when told, but will someone please help me out here?

oh, i see...thanks...for some reason i don't recall him, though upon a quick search, it makes perfect sense why they are all honouring him...did you know the players are being paid a collective 4.5 billion dollars this year thanks to him? that's crazazy...

Actually, the players weren't happy with him...he didn't represent the retirees well, and this is a big issue as of late.

My assumption is that someone's market research told them that endurance athletes would be drawn to extreme naming conventions.
